General Resources

Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators -The national federation of provincial/territorial physiotherapy regulators committed to the development and improvement of regulatory standards of practice for physiotherapists.

College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia - Oversees the regulation of physical therapists in British Columbia, Canada.

Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia - Provides leadership and direction to the physiotherapy profession in British Columbia, Canada.

Canadian Physiotherapy Association - National professional voice of physiotherapists in Canada.

Internationally Educated Physiotherapists Program - A pilot program developed to assist Internationally Educated Physiotherapists in the successful completion of the national physiotherapy competency examination and entrance into clinical physiotherapy practice in BC.

There is also a program available for internationally educated physiotherapists called The Internationally Educated Physiotherapists Exam Preparation Program (IEPEPP) which has been specifically designed to assist international applicants to prepare for, and successfully complete, the written and practical components of the Canadian National Examinations (PCE).  The program is also open to Canadian trained physiotherapists who are re-entering the workforce and are required to sit the National Examinations.  Please go to the IEPEPP website for more information. 

Rural Coordination Centre of British Columbia (RCCbc) - Supports the Continuum of Care by focusing on rural health education, network facilitation and interprofessional training and practice.

The province has five health employers serving distinct geographical regions, in addition to one health employer responsible for coordinating specialized province-wide health services, and one denominational employer.
