Role and Facility Information

The Campbell River and District General Hospital has an opportunity for a Plastic Surgeon to join two others.

The plastic surgeons practicing in Campbell River perform general plastic surgery including breast reconstruction, hand surgery, facial fractures, skin cancer management as well as cosmetic surgery. Microsurgery is currently limited to trauma; however this could be incorporated into your practice. Along with full scope plastic surgery, you may establish a specific specialty focus to your practice. The existing Hand Clinic is staffed by 3 full trained Hand Therapists. On-call is 1:7-8 and is shared with colleagues located in Nanaimo.

A funded plastic surgeon on-call rotation is shared equitably among the Division members, and on-call services encompass the full spectrum of plastic surgery.

The Campbell River & District General Hospital has 100 beds, serves a referral population of over 300,000 and enjoys an exceptionally collegial atmosphere amongst family physicians and specialist colleagues. Hospital based specialists include: ENT, internal medicine, radiology, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, Anesthesiologist, GP anesthesiologists, obstetricians/ gynecologists, pediatrics and pathology.
